For Immediate Release:
At Speed Motorsports Porsche #23 GT3 Cup won its class at Roebling Road Raceway
The At Speed Motorsports Porsche #23 GT3 Cup won its class at Roebling Road Raceway on Sunday September 10th. In a field of 35, Bob Miller started 7th on the grid and ended 4th overall and 1st in GT2S Class. "I could have driven the car even faster, but the street tires we were using were certainly the limiting factor". Another GT3 Cup in the GTC Class (on race tires) only finished 0.4 seconds ahead of Bob!
The team would like to thank Ford Excursion, Heishman Porsche, The Net Investor, Auto Sportsystems, Wine.com, OG Racing, Racing Radios, and our newest sponsor The Bailiwick Inn for your continued support. The team GT3 Porsche performed flawlessly and again garnered ample photos, questions, and generated further consumer recognition of your products/services. Our next event is at Summit Point raceway in early October followed immediately by the Laguna Seca World Challenge race in California.
Our sister car, the Team Tech Porsche #22 GT3 Cup finished 2nd overall in the Texas World Speedway Speedvision GT race. Scott Bove, Bob Miller's teammate in the World Challenge Series, scored his highest placed finish of the year. Bove was "very pleased with the engine and aerodynamic modifications we have made" and commented that "the car is now competitive with the rest of the field."
Miller and Bove plan to continue their teaming during the 2001 season where Bob will run for the Rookie of the Year and Scott will endeavor to win the series outright. With the engine modifications allowed on the Porsche, Miller expects to be on the podium along with Bove most of the year.
